It’s well known that Thierry Henry wasn’t a big fan of Alexander Hleb. The Belarussian was often on the end of a withering stare from Henry after another pass went astray or a move broke down.
Of course the pair get to continue their great friendship at Barcelona now that Hleb has signed for the Catalan club. Henry was at the press conference last night to announce Hleb’s arrival and this picture really does speak a thousand words.

To be fair though, Hleb has improved a lot since Henry left. The fact that Henry was present at the conference indicates that he is supportive of Hleb.
Do you think he may feel a bit of guilt? I mean, he leaves Arsenal for Barca now he witnesses a former team mate follow him to Barca the next year?

Titi is an Arsenal man. He’s giving a sarcastic smile plus glare at this guy, because he would be thinking how current crop has become a disgrace. When Arsene got him, Vieira, Pires, Ljuenberg, and others, when they were in starting 11, they kept playing till they achieved whatever they could. Hleb, flamini, adebayor are misuing the trust placed on ‘em by Arsene. They go without achieving trophies for the club.

Forget Hleb. Let’s instead talk about a true Gunner in Gilberto Silva for whom I have the utmost respect as a true gentleman on and off the field. It will take me a while to get over this loss bearing in mind also how Wenger treated him last season which he did not deserve. May the LORD bless him!!!!

I thought Hleb was class – maybe not supplying the assist – but setting up the pass b4 the assist. without doubt we made him world class and we hardly made a penny – what a joke.
Hopefully once Ade fcks off, Wenger will buy Central defender, holding midfielder and striker..but I doubt it.

Time for Wenger to spend some money and actually STRENGTHEN the squad.
I know thats a strange concept to us Gooners as Wenger has experiemnted with trying to put the likes of Eboue in right midfield and Almunia as number one, but there’s cash from the sales of Diarra, Hleb, plus the sell on clauses from Muamba, Harper and Bentley, not to mention the saved wages of Gilberto and the rest, there’s no excuse not to get that dusty chequebook out.

Arsenal are in serious trouble for next season.The squad is was far too thin for last season and is getting thinner by the day.Plus you cant count van persie and rocisky as squad members….they barely ever available….why cant wenger realise this and act on it is beyond my imagination

we still haven’t bought strength. Nasri and Ramsay are great creative talents, but where’s the steel and height we talked about last year to bolster our midfield and back line? I think a strong, experienced CD is definitely required.
BTW, does the swapping of Hleb for Nasri mean that when Rosicky is out again next year, Eboue will step in for long periods like this year?

Flamini, Hleb & Ade were in Arsenal’s first 11. That means they were amongst our BEST 11.
I cannot understand all the negativity over Hleb. He was real quality. We looked so much stonger when he was playing & Flamini.
Iam really gutted that they have left. We are weaker for it.
Take of your Gooner glasses for one moment & imagion Utd, Liverpool or Chelsea losing 3 of their first 11? & how this would effect them. This is what has happened to Arsenal.
