Sources in France are reporting this evening that the transfer of Marseille midfielder Samir Nasri to Arsenal will be made official tomorrow, after L’OM were confirmed as owners of Lyon winger Hatem Ben Arfa, following a lengthy dispute with Lyon’s chairman Jean Michel Aulas over the the 20-year-old.
It has been widely reported that Nasri agreed a switch to the Gunners before Euro 2008, and finalised the switch following France’s elimination from the tournament.
Marseille had wanted to wait until after July 1st to formally announce the deal, as they wished for the money from the Nasri transfer to be carried into the accounts for the coming season, cutting down on tax, and making the club seem more profitable.
It seems Nasri is already an Arsenal player with just an announcement to come from both sides before the Frenchman has his photo taken at the Emirates Stadium with Lassana Diarra’s old number 8 shirt.
Gooner Talk will keep you updated any other Nasri news that comes our way and of course when the official confirmation is on Arsenal.com
With Thanks To J.Sanderson

Goooooooood
July 1, 2008 at 8:36 pm
I do believe in this site is trustworthy, but anything to do with Nasri is just annoying now.
I won’t take anything less than a photo of Nasri holding up his Arsenal shirt.
July 1, 2008 at 8:36 pm
I doubt it. Nice site though.
Edit: Your link was added this afternoon, please check in future before advertising.
July 1, 2008 at 8:37 pm
Great!
July 1, 2008 at 8:37 pm
every day it’s tomorrow. you could place this story every evening on auto post and no-one would notice.
Will there be ANY reaction when this is finally announced? Highly doubtful.
July 1, 2008 at 8:37 pm
I can understand your reaction mate, i’m expecting many similar comments concerning Nasri.
July 1, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Its a shame its happend like this cos its really taken the gloss off the transfer. Hope you’re right and its all done and dusted tomorrow!
July 1, 2008 at 8:40 pm
i hope he gets the number 8 jersey
July 1, 2008 at 8:40 pm
RUBBISH!!!!!
July 1, 2008 at 8:41 pm
Lol, this saga is annoying, but it has at least been a source of interest. It’s seemed that he was definitely coming from a while ago, so even if this is incorrect it won’t matter in the long run.
That article is using old quotes though, so I think we should all ignore it and just wait for Arsenal.com to announce it when it is eventually finalised.
July 1, 2008 at 8:42 pm
Dayo shut up
July 1, 2008 at 8:43 pm

July 1, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Even if we had he wouldn’t have come.
July 1, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Doesn’t it sound like Rubbish? I have been waiting for this lad to be unveiled over 4 weeks and all we keep hearing is he will sign tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow…
July 1, 2008 at 8:50 pm
hope he signs tomorrow chris, for your sake. You run a good blog, but the nasri thing has dragged on for too long.
July 1, 2008 at 8:50 pm
I don’t understand why you’ve been waiting because it’s been said a lot that he’ll be signing after the Euros.
July 1, 2008 at 8:51 pm
GOD I AM SO BORED OF THIS!
JUST GET IT DONE SO WE DONT HAVE TO SEE HIS UGLY BOAT WEARING A MARSEILLES SHIRT ON EVERY SINGLE ARSENAL BLOG ON THE NET.
IT IS THE MOST BORING TRANSFER ‘SAGA’ IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL, EVER!
WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN EXCITING SIGNING IS NOW JUST AN ANTI CLIMAX. FED UP OF HEARING HIS NAME.
July 1, 2008 at 8:53 pm
Dayo is a lunatic.
Nasri deal was done before Euros, but these greedy twats Diouf and Aulas gave us too much grief.
Better late than never!
July 1, 2008 at 8:54 pm
Well said Dodge, mate.
July 1, 2008 at 8:54 pm
Manuel – AMEN to that!
July 1, 2008 at 8:54 pm

July 1, 2008 at 8:54 pm

July 1, 2008 at 8:55 pm

July 1, 2008 at 8:58 pm
I DONT EVEN CARE IF HE DOESNT JOIN US ANYMORE.
IT JUST NEEDS TO BE REVEALED WHAT IS HAPPENING BECAUSE IT IS PATHETIC.
WOULD IT BE A MASSIVE LOSS IF HE DIDN’T SIGN. NO!
WOULD IT BE A GOOD SIGNING IF HE DOES JOIN. YES!
EITHER WAY THE TIME HAS LONG SINCE PASSED THAT I GAVE A SH*T. THE WHOLE THING IS WELL PAST ITS SELL BY DATE.
July 1, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Dayo, ba wo ni? Leave them guys alone
July 1, 2008 at 8:58 pm

July 1, 2008 at 8:59 pm

professor arsene olu wenger,
i must correct your grammar…
you said ‘them guys’, when it actually should be ‘those guys’. consider this lesson a freebie, but the next will cost you.
July 1, 2008 at 9:01 pm
I am alone in feeling that the possible ins/outs have become particularly protracted this year? There is Nasri, Ade, Hleb plus who knows who else ….
Fingers crossed there is some positive transfer news soon….
July 1, 2008 at 9:02 pm
Joetodd, I am only a sad gunner…I can’t to see him in Arsenal shirt, I am just getting nervous every minutes, I already like this guy and I don’t want us to loose out on him, I will only be happy when I see him in Arsenal Jersey.
July 1, 2008 at 9:03 pm
John’s spot on. Gooner Chris — can you burn you for getting people’s hopes up if he doesn’t sign tommorow? No, seriously? “Samir Nasri expected to be formally announced tommorow” — “expected” by whom? You and the idiots that believe your shit. You create a headline that everyone wants to see and then you back it up with bullshit like you’ve just done now. You’re no better than the red tops.
July 1, 2008 at 9:04 pm
Joetodd, I am only a sad gunner…I can’t wait to see him in Arsenal shirt, I am just getting nervous every minutes, I already like this guy and I don’t want us to loose out on him, I will only be happy when I see him in Arsenal Jersey
July 1, 2008 at 9:05 pm
I back my articles up with links and quotes, you can’t accuse me of posting bullshit..
July 1, 2008 at 9:05 pm

July 1, 2008 at 9:06 pm

July 1, 2008 at 9:09 pm

July 1, 2008 at 9:09 pm
maybe for people with a goldfish’s brain, this transfer might be soooooo long and drawn out.
How about the scousers trying to sign barry, Juve trying for Alonso, oh and there’s madrid still not quite got lil Ronaldo.
No offence, but you look like spoilt kids having a tantrum coz mummy won’t buy you a toy.
July 1, 2008 at 9:11 pm
Gooner Chris, please provide me with a link that says he will sign tomorrow. I speak French.
July 1, 2008 at 9:11 pm

July 1, 2008 at 9:12 pm
dodge,
bit racist that comment isn’t it.
July 1, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Gooner Chris i ust emailed the Nasri website claiming that i had spoke with his brother Otman (Which is not true, but for journalistic reason is lol) and i asked whther i could get an interview via phone with Nasri
Only to be e-mailed back saying Samir will be giving e-mails tomorrow morning and afternoon so email back tomorrow so Im backing up your claims
This also leads me to beleive that the site is infact run by his father
Thanks
WeAreArsenal.com
July 1, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Manuel;
Dayo’s 1st language aint english, so easy on the grammar lessons.
July 1, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Guys. Can we stick to the topic please, or i’ll have to lock the comments for this article.
July 1, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Oh, so your claim does have some substance, does it Chris? Lets review, shall we?
Lets have a look at the quote from your source: Marseille president:
“Samir was very concretely approached by Arsenal, a club which was also sent to us. So there are steps to be taken which are to establish a definitive agreement between the two clubs. However, this n It is not yet done even if verbal agreements have been more or less endorsed. “For the formalization of the transfer, it will therefore wait a little longer.
Then your pathetic source creates the headline “Nasri sign for Arsenal on July 2″…in what way does Diouf’s words imply that? Luckily, the source you’re using realises that, so what solid evidence does it use to back up it’s headline? It says Nasri himself has been quoted as saying he will join on July 2nd? Has he? Not a chance.
It’s the same principle Chris. Whether you’re making the bullshit up, or your source consists of bullshit that someone else is made up…either way your “articles” consist of bullshit.
July 1, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Cornetto Kid…. Did u ever hear Barry, Alonso and CR7 said that the deal is 99% done? Nasri did!
July 1, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Gooner Chris – that link was from days ago. Where are these ‘reports’ from tonight? Basically there are none. Just because the Ben Arfa deal has gone through you are putting two and two together and assuming Nasri will sign tomorrow.
July 1, 2008 at 9:15 pm
nice report gooner chris, funny though, how providing information is misconstrued as you are the one directly given this info , guess its too much to ask of your blog readers to actually read the information your providing from other sources,i feel for ya mate but i guess most just wanna show the support by lynching whomever is available occupational hazard i guess
anyway i for one cannot wait for it to become official not to say i am immune to lack of patience i just think it will be an exciting relief
July 1, 2008 at 9:16 pm
Gooner chris where exactly in that link does it state that we are going to sign nasri tomorrow???
July 1, 2008 at 9:16 pm
whatever…who cares
July 1, 2008 at 9:17 pm
Cescy lay off mate. Chris has been a great source for many other bloggers throughout this year. What have you done nothing!
You can’t say that his article consists of bullshit if its not him who has written it, because i hate to say it but journalism is done through sources, if you find something you use it.
July 1, 2008 at 9:17 pm
I have to agree with Cornetto Kid, the deal has shown so many signs of definately happening that arsenal fans need to stop throwing their dummy out and get a grip.
“ohhhhh OHHHHHHHH NASRI DEAL HAS HIT A SNAG HELP ME HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”
“WE CANT WAIT ANY LONGER WENGER HURRY UP OR LEAVE”
its arsenal fans who say shit like that who should be sitting on the bird shit that spreads across the seats of white fart lane.
July 1, 2008 at 9:17 pm
Manuel, I politely asked Dayo to post in English, not his native language. What’s racist about it?
He must be a lunatic to post in any other language on here, no one but he’d be able to understand and laugh like a madman.
July 1, 2008 at 9:17 pm
Gooner Chris, you are very clever. That headline is great because you cannot be wrong.
As everyone knows ‘tomorrow never comes’. Therefore as you didn’t say he would sign on Wednesday merely tomorrow, nobody can accuse you of being wrong!!
By the way this isn’t me having a dig at you. Like everyone else I’ll be happy when/if this transfer comes to a conclusion & you are reporting links you have seen which others may have missed. Keep up the good work.
July 1, 2008 at 9:19 pm
Look guys, I had news, from a few days ago, people are pulling their hair out on whether he’s signing today or tomorrow. I thought I’d share the info with my fellow Gooners, I apologise if that’s not good enough for some of you.
July 1, 2008 at 9:19 pm
hmmmm. see it to beleive it, its become a guessing game
July 1, 2008 at 9:19 pm
Finally i dont know if any of you had noticed the pictures of Ben Arfa training with Marseille and oh wait whats that number he’s wearing????
22!
Nasri’s number
July 1, 2008 at 9:19 pm
i honestly think that greedy dog called adebayor should go or rather rot in reserve
July 1, 2008 at 9:20 pm
People are slagging me off on news which is fairly concrete, why don’t you have a go at CaughtOffside? One of the best blogs for made up rumours and mis leading headlines, instead of having a go at me.
I’ll reiterate this. If you don’t like the content on the blog, or the blog at all, do not read it. Simple as.
July 1, 2008 at 9:20 pm
9328arsenal — you’re not getting it. Even if he hasn’t written it, he is passing it off as reliable evidence. How exactly? By using a suggestive headline. If a reliable source had been used — perhaps a direct quote from the president that hadn’t been taken out of context or from BBC or Sky Sports, then it would be fair to suggest that Nasri would be “expected” to sign tommorow. As it is, no reliable source has picked up on it.
Like it or not, Chris’ headline is misleading. And the idiots that believe him will find that out when he doesn’t sign tommorow.
July 1, 2008 at 9:20 pm
dont take it personally Chris its just become a repetitive headline for everyone, obvoiusly you are just sharing what you heard
July 1, 2008 at 9:21 pm
And u must be a FOOL Dodge for thinking that English is the only language approved on this blog.
July 1, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Cescy all he has written is that Sources in France are reporting not calling it reliable evidence!
July 1, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Gooner Chris, ungrateful sods all this lot. Don’t stress yourself out on these lot..not worth it.
Keep up the good work. Cheers
July 1, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Also id like you to go and read my first comment and read what happened when i emailed his website
July 1, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Thanks guys, I just wanted to make my feelings clear on the whole situation.
Can’t wait till tomorrow..
July 1, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Dayo mo wa leyin e jare bobo mi. Oloriburuku lawon omo yen
July 1, 2008 at 9:23 pm
look chris a couple of weeks ago if you claimed nasri was going to sign i a couple of days i wouldn’t of minded but now i am extremly frustrated.
If he signs i would be relived rather than happy
July 1, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Skysports thought the Nasri fan site was reliable, Skyspots are just as bad as the Sun these days, they didnt used to be like that
July 1, 2008 at 9:24 pm
9328: “Cescy all he has written is that Sources in France are reporting not calling it reliable evidence!”
That’s the point. Without reliable evidence, how can he use such a suggestive headline? He would only be “expected” to sign tommorow if there were reliable and concrete evidence to suggest so.
July 1, 2008 at 9:24 pm
Dayo, I’ve not seen anyone posting their tuppence in any other language but English except you, an Einstein. Continue with your olubolueowlgdf….
July 1, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Chris, Nasri’s signing is not new anymore, we already know he will sign, just the question of when, perhaps u should stop all this tomorrow…. tomorrow… tomorrow’s stuff of yours.
July 1, 2008 at 9:25 pm
“The France international has been the subject of a spat between two of France’s biggest clubs but the deal, reportedly in the region of €20 million (£15.8 million), has now been finalised and Ben Arfa will call Stade Velodrome home next season.”
On Setanta Sports News.
Isn’t that how much we are paying for Nasri even down to the decimal point.
July 1, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Most people’s reactions on here confirm the insanity that envelopes most football fans. You’re saying you’re bored of the saga and couldn’t give a shit if he signs or not. It just proves that people don’t actually care about quality additions to the squad, most of you just want your pathetic whims satisfied, like little kids crying for more sweeties from Mummy.
July 1, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Chris was the first site to mention Amaury Bishoff
July 1, 2008 at 9:26 pm
Hurray!!! I am the first person….LMFAO
July 1, 2008 at 9:26 pm
So now you are dismissing the source as unreliable? Do you have any idea of reliable and unreliable French websites? Obviously not.
July 1, 2008 at 9:26 pm
Don’t worry Gooner Chris people are being particularly harsh b ecause of the nature of this long, drawn-out debacle of a transfer. Keep up the good wok tough, between you, Fabregas The King and J. Sanderson I’m sorted! Cheers
July 1, 2008 at 9:27 pm
Cescy mate your getting picky journalists use attractive headlines to create a story youd be a shit journalists if you didnt know that look how many people have come onto his site since writing this
July 1, 2008 at 9:27 pm
Thanks for the support Flex, much appreciated.
July 1, 2008 at 9:28 pm
It’s deserved
July 1, 2008 at 9:28 pm

July 1, 2008 at 9:29 pm
Complete blockhead, switch to Three Point Lane, most appropriate for you Dayo, twats across the board on there!
Ni Ni
July 1, 2008 at 9:29 pm
i am tired of the news about nasri let him sign if he wants to or go away
July 1, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Olu, no mind dat blog jare, the guy too dey make up fake ass stories
July 1, 2008 at 9:30 pm
What I care about is what happens next. Is he a replacement for Hleb or a much need squad addition?
What is this Bishoff shit all about?
What -Song/Diaby/Denilson/Traore/Ramsay/Walcott/Vela/Mendes don’t provide enough midfield inexperience – how could we possibly NEED him?? Is this about him building a ‘younger second team’ so he can leave in 2011??
C’mon Wenger, what about NOW.
We need to give Ade an increase & then go & buy a top class, experienced keeper/central defender/holding midfielder (Russian keeper/Zapata/Toure would be nice) Add them to the brilliant young squad we already have & we CAN be the best – if only the people at Arsenal had the financial will.
Instead they portray any player as greedy who wants ‘Champions League (top tier) market value wages.’
All Ade’s asking for is the same he’d get at ManU/Lpool/Barca/Madrid/Milan/Inter if he was their star striker – do we want to be part of that ‘club’ or not? And yes he has replaced Henry so he should get paid a similar wage – no one is saying, including him, he is as good as Henry – all he’s fairly implied is that he’s filled the enormous hole Henry left – & HE HAS DONE! Could have gone about it a bit better I must admit.
But VanP warned us – Arsenal must pay the going rate or the top players will go – first Ade maybe VanP himself next (if he has an injury free season) and then the bombshell will hit – Bye bye Cesc.
Start playing ball Arsenal or shut-up about ambition.
Rantoverandout!
July 1, 2008 at 9:31 pm
Lol, CaughtOffSide…as brent would say – “Brilliant”
July 1, 2008 at 9:31 pm
How dare this transfer saga not be completed NOW???
Its just not fair! I want my shiny new toy so i can show it off to all my school friends in the playground.
Oh you get my drift….
July 1, 2008 at 9:31 pm
With all the hype and talk about Nasri being thrown out there, if he doesn’t score twice as much as Hleb next season, he’ll be a disappointment.
July 1, 2008 at 9:33 pm
I wonder what ur problem is really is? Se won bi sorin m’eja ni? Pathetic ENGLISH FOOL!
July 1, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Chris — a bit of common sense wouldn’t go a miss. 1. The site is “Myfreesport”. 2. It completely (and purposely) misinterprets Diouf’s words to use the headline. 3. If the sources were reliable, the BBC/SkySports…all the big guns would’ve picked up on it. The only time BBC and SkySports have been falsely dragged into this saga was when Nasri — on his official site — made the mistake of saying the deal had been finalised when it hadn’t. See that right there? That’s good jounalism — not misleading their readers and getting their hopes up.
If you were a good blogger, like Arseblog, you wouldn’t feel threatened into using these 3rd rate “reports in France suggest..” ‘articles’ to back up a falsely suggestive headline. Why not post opinions/intelligent analysis instead?
July 1, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Forget Nasri for now……………….Dudu is coming soon
July 1, 2008 at 9:36 pm
Gooner Chris
Not posted here before, but we are seeing a recurring theme. Yourself and J.Sanderson have done some great work but during silly season you are in danger of losing some integrity, by playing a significant role in the feeding frenzy.
Yogi, has built his great site by very much upholding the integrity, you would do well to stick to what you are best at, having said that, I understand you are fans too and it is hard to take a step back to ensure your contributions are at their most valuable.
Bring on the new season.
July 1, 2008 at 9:36 pm
Spot on CESCY… I feel you!
July 1, 2008 at 9:36 pm
I don’t understand why some people like Cescy would have so much time to waste by sending so many crap comments just because of a news.
Well, maybe Cescy is really rubbish and that’s why he has so much time in hand to use. Haha.
Gooner Chris is merely passing on a piece of news for other gooners to take note of.
Cescy on the other hand is making crap out of his crap mind. How funny can that be? Haha.. Super funny. Btw, you don’t even fit to use the nickname “Cescy” because you’re too shit, crap, and idiotic to use it. Hahaha..
July 1, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Ade is not as good as Henry stop embarassing yourself. Just because Ade scoree 30 goals you are already becoming like Ade himself. Do it again and win trophies before you demand more money after JUST ONE SEASON out of 3 seasons. Are you kidding me what is woorng with this players and fans!!!!!
July 1, 2008 at 9:37 pm
because if you post opinions or analysis people like YOU slam myself for having no sources. Gooner Talk is not as established as Arseblog.. so I have to provide your sources whether reliable or not, something to back up what im posting.
July 1, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Dayo is just as pathetic as Cescy.
What a funny name.. Dayo
…
July 1, 2008 at 9:38 pm
Dayo;
Calling someone an English fool on a football blog about an English football team in the English Premier league is kinda stoopid fella. And offensive to us sensitive English folk.
July 1, 2008 at 9:39 pm
Could also be considered racist..
July 1, 2008 at 9:42 pm
who’s dudu and who cares about nasri the whole thing is doing my head in dont care if he comes or stays a mars i think he’s 2 light weight for next year hell need a year or 2 2 settle

July 1, 2008 at 9:42 pm
About time …. hope every transfer that we make is not like this
July 1, 2008 at 9:42 pm
This whole thing is boring

Gooner Chris,
Maybe you’re just too desperate for the scoop, generally think your articles are better than the “needy….we said it first” type rubbish you see at the cheaper end of the media.
July 1, 2008 at 9:43 pm
“because if you post opinions or analysis people like YOU slam myself for having no sources. Gooner Talk is not as established as Arseblog.. so I have to provide your sources whether reliable or not, something to back up what im posting.”
Not at all. Whilst the kids will get drawn into rumours with substance during the height of the silly season, I’m sure everyone will appreciate reading thoughtful, well-reasoned analysis. You don’t need a source for that since analysis is purely empirical.
I’m not so in vain that I think my words will have any impact on your posting. And you don’t need me to patronisingly tell you that “you’re free to post what you want”, but I will anyway. I just felt readers needed to know about the misleading article. You yourself have said he will sign tommorow. (Read comment 15). I just feel sorry for those that believe you, is all.
July 1, 2008 at 9:43 pm
Yh mate I hope so , but i dont see us buying more than 3 players
July 1, 2008 at 9:44 pm
sorry – that should read “rumours without substance”
July 1, 2008 at 9:44 pm
About bloody time!!!!!!!
July 1, 2008 at 9:45 pm
I am a journalist, a sports columnist who has spent most of my life in America and a few years in Britain. Live in California now, will be returning to Scotland permanently next spring.
I’m also a Gooner for life, which means that silly or not, I read these blogs.
But hey, everybody, I DO understand going in that it’s all mostly guesswork. And so I take it that way, as a sad sort of entertainment.
What I do NOT understand is how people can come on here and blast the blogger, call him shite and so forth, claim he’s got no sources and — best of all — what right does he have to say Nasri’s going to sign at such-and-such a time when it might be wrong and upset everyone?
Hey, he’s got the same right you do. Anybody who wants to go on the Web can do it.
But here’s the payoff: I really worry about people who come on here and leave posts taking shots at Gooner Chris or anyone else — as though a blogger’s suggestion not panning out makes him evil or something.
If you’re smarter or more informed, start a Web site, post breaking news and I promise you’ll be a millionaire.
But if you DON’T know more than anyone else, just say so and quit hassling Arsenal supporters who naturally are hopeful or frustrated or whatever.
Don’t insult a blogger. Go somewhere else. Kick your dog.
And by the way, all these doomsayers who are crying about the Nasri thing beging boring, couldn’t care less anymore, etc.?
They’ll be jumping around buying shirts that say: NASRI 8.
Watch and see.
Relax and live a little longer, gang.
July 1, 2008 at 9:46 pm
did you say who is dudu griffo
dudu is ou rhero eduardo
are u on arsenal fan or you belong to MANure
July 1, 2008 at 9:56 pm
what a cock u r being cescy. i for one enjoy gooner talk and enjoy the opinion that GC shares as its his and he can be insightful thats why i come and enjoy it not cause its gospel or law and for you to demean anyone else for enjoying this blog is an elitist commentary on what a sad fuck you must be
July 1, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Blogger posts article.
Reader uses comments section, to post criticisms of the article.
Where is the problem?
We could just use the comments section to offer our words of appreciation for yet another great article.
That would of course be no where near as valuable.
There is no issue here, just some comments that felt they may see things differently. Not overly harsh or rude.

Chris did u just say RACIST?? Were u blind or dumb when some fool are complaining about my language? Is AFC all about ENGLISH? Perhaps u should have put up sumfin like ‘STRICTLY FOR THE ENGLISH’… FOOLS

July 1, 2008 at 10:06 pm

calling people shit mate is pretty rude and insulting fans of the blog because you think we are here cause its gospel is totally fucking irresponsible .i like gooner chris and enjoy reading what he has to say ,is it written in stone. nope ,do i agree all the time, nope, but no need for slagging him for delivering what he has found how the fuck is that constructive
July 1, 2008 at 10:08 pm
so fighting racism with racism is good how?
July 1, 2008 at 10:21 pm
Right, anyone who doesn’t have a comment to make that is constructive or relevant should just fuck off. Coming on here and bitching about the blog with this whole “oh, you’ve really let yourself down” attitude is just fucking dumb.
We’re all a bit bored guys but we;re supposed to be on the same team
July 1, 2008 at 10:26 pm
nasri is signed – no he isn’t – maybe tomorrow – maybe never
What’s with all this mystery crap. Can someone please tell me what Wenger gets from all this voo-doo nonsense, either he will be an Arsenal player or he won’t. Which is it Wenger?
July 1, 2008 at 10:33 pm
Oh bruvver!
Now Wenger is doing it on purpose???
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right… here I am stuck in the middle….
July 1, 2008 at 10:36 pm
i believe nasri will sign but arsenal why do you but us thru so much pain every summer, if we cant afford certain players wages, dont write( the media ) bullshit stories that we have this superstar in the bag and that superstar
July 1, 2008 at 10:43 pm
Nice
July 1, 2008 at 10:48 pm
I said it before and I will say it again, Nasri’s deal was strongly linked to arfa filling his place, and now that they have singed Arfa, I believe the wait for nasri’s announcement is over……… whats happening to hleb by the way, he is not making any noises anymore
July 1, 2008 at 10:51 pm
wait, what? who is this nasri guy?
July 1, 2008 at 10:51 pm
california steve,
i agree with you, but i resent your comment ‘go kick a dog’.
most english people love canines and you have certainly hurt the feelings of many of the readers.
you let yourself down there… cruelty to animals is a serious matter and i certainly won’t be going to kick my dog if arsenal’s transfer activities, or lack of, frustrate me.
ps dayo, dont be racist please.
July 1, 2008 at 11:09 pm
Interesting Adebayor developments

I doubt it
July 1, 2008 at 11:31 pm
LATEST NEW BEN ARFA HAS COMPLETED HIS MOVE TO MARSEILLE SO NASRI IS EXPECTED TODAY
July 1, 2008 at 11:32 pm
If you guess enough your bound to be right once or twice… I mean even Goal.com is right sometimes…
July 1, 2008 at 11:51 pm
A word for mr wenger… I assume that adebayor is not going anywhere because you said about united that they would look weak if they sold ronaldo to madrid after telling he is not for sale.
now you are doing the same, so we assume he is not for sale, whatever the price
July 2, 2008 at 12:17 am
hey cornetto kid.
remember right ball – left ball Whose the …….. in the middle
That’s you pal
July 2, 2008 at 12:54 am

July 2, 2008 at 1:03 am
good cant wait lets hope he is the next zidane then!
July 2, 2008 at 2:10 am
about the tax / profit, it does really depend on what basis arsenal do their transactions…cash/accrual. anyway its annoying this story now. boring….
July 2, 2008 at 2:35 am
It’s funny how some people can complain they don’t give a sh*te about this Nasri signing, but yet, still click read it and comment.
Not meant to insult anyone, but point here is, YOU CARE ABOUT IT TOO. We’re all Arsenal fans here right?
What’s going on behind the scene that’s delaying the transfer may never be revealed. So, we’re all guessing and looking at the most logical reason.
July 2, 2008 at 6:05 am
Mr wenger,if you do not buy quality and experienced players this time arsenal we go without a cup as it happened last season.Football is more of winning trophies rather than mere good football which arsenal is known for.
July 2, 2008 at 6:10 am
Haha.
Pathetic Dayo trying to make something out of nothing. You can’t even spell my name properly. Haha. Very pathetic. Haha.
July 2, 2008 at 7:17 am

Agholor, IK, Man U and Liverpool cynics take note.
July 2, 2008 at 7:40 am
On the subject : Samir Nasri.
I can tell you that on his official site ther is a qoute from the press conference after the first training.
The manager, Eric Gerets, speeks (in French and I translate the important part) “c’est bien pour lui qu’il aille à Arsenal” = It’s good for him that he goes to Arsenal.
and ” Ce matin il était là si je ne fais pas attention il s’entraînait avec nous mais c’est interdit je ne veux pas avoir de problème avec Wenger” = This morning he was here and if I hadn’t payed any attention to it, he (Nasri) would have trained with us, but that’s forbidden and I don’t want getting troubles with Wenger.
So everyone in Marseille knows and says the deal is done. So we can all relax and wait for the official announcement.
PS: If anyone has any remarks on my English : I’m dutch speeking.
July 2, 2008 at 8:12 am
Ahh…as always, people expect the transfer of a player to be like Football Manager…I’ll bid, offer accepted, give the player what he wants, he signs, press conference, all in a day.
NEWSFLASH….Get in the real world. In the real world, Salaries are negotiated, bonuses are negotiated, medicals need to be completed (What Professional company would spend £11 mil on an asset without making sure it is in perfect working order). Agreements need to be found between clubs, negotiations completed to the benefit of all parties involved – Hell, in football you even need to allow for international football.
In a nutshell, there could be countless reasons for the delay (Demonech, Euro 2008, Tax reasons e.t.c) and NONE of us no the real reasons for the delay – everything is rumour and conjecture. Yes, it would be nice to have an Eduardo style transfer where nothing is known about it until it is announced but Wenger & Nasri & Marseille have put paid to that particular option. The man will arrive, that much seems clear. From a blogging perspective, I hope he does sign today GoonerChris just so you can say “I told you so” to all the doubters on here – why everybody is taking aim at the messenger i truly don’t know – Its not rocket science – if you dont like the blog, don’t read it, simple.
July 2, 2008 at 8:32 am
Just been told that Nasri is at the Arsenal trainig ground and it will be confirmed at 4pm today.
July 2, 2008 at 9:09 am
Patience pays off good dividends. N A S R I will wear an Arsenal t shirt.
July 2, 2008 at 9:21 am
nice blog
July 2, 2008 at 9:30 am
It has always been a ‘next week’ or a ‘tomorrow’ about Nasri, but still it has not been a done deal yet… So when is it ACTUALLY going to happen? CAN’T WAIIIITT !!!!!
July 2, 2008 at 9:31 am
Chris, whats the source of this story?
cheers
July 2, 2008 at 9:34 am
Today is the day!
But what will happen if Nasri won’t sign to us today? Nothing. He will sign tomorrow, or Friday or I don’t know.
I don’t mind when, just come!
July 2, 2008 at 9:52 am
I really hope so coz it is high time Arsenal unveil the teenage sensation. pliz make it quick so we can focus on a striker and defensive midfielder
July 2, 2008 at 10:10 am
His arrival is now a bit of an anticlimax. Yet again Arsenal fail to control the situation surrounding on of their signings.
July 2, 2008 at 10:23 am
gooner g is not who u thinks it is…there is no nasri deal today
js,gooner c all are just a load of wind ups
July 2, 2008 at 10:47 am
yyeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr that has got about as much chance of happening as wenger buying David Villa ……………….. 0%! why even bother.
July 2, 2008 at 10:48 am
Man this transfer deal is long. I wish all 3 parties could’ve just kept quiet and annouced when it was done. But great blog Chris, ignore the moaning its just this transfer has now dragged on a bit and has got everyone a bit fustrated. Once he is staring for us next season we’ll soon forget about this long saga.
July 2, 2008 at 11:12 am
Hurray! Hurray!! Hurray!!! I just saw him few minutes ago…
July 2, 2008 at 11:16 am
Where, La sella? :p
July 2, 2008 at 11:24 am
Where is all this info coming from (“4pm”.. and “I saw him today”)?
Im not slagging off i would just like to know.
Im very much a fan of these blogs. I follow goonertalk and arsenalinsider and i appreciate how they gather varied sources to bring together conclusions of their own. At the end of the day, this blog is no “sky sports news” nor is it meant to be. It is meant to be a place where all gooners can come together and speculate over a certain persons idea or point of view.
Please, lay off these guys, all they are doing is providing us with talking points!
July 2, 2008 at 11:34 am
Ben Arfa got the no: 20, not Nasri’s 22.
July 2, 2008 at 11:36 am
I saw him at his house.
July 2, 2008 at 11:37 am
am very sick of the naisr sh****t thing, live me alone
July 2, 2008 at 11:37 am
Lies! Atilla , Lies!! He got 22
July 2, 2008 at 12:01 pm
Check out Mareseille’s website, Ben Arfa’s jersey number is 20 and Nasri is 22, can anyone here tell me something I don’t know?
July 2, 2008 at 12:07 pm
Ben Arfa has got no.22 and Diouf (Marseille chairman) says that the transfer of Nasri will be done in 2 or ’some days.’ I hate that man, why cant Arsenal get off their asses and conclude this stupid deal, god its so annoying. We are weak negotiators!

Wow.. so much flaks.. I think its time to lock up this topic for now.
Its been the same thing going on in Young Guns.
July 2, 2008 at 1:12 pm
Ey, might as well save the same headline for today’s blog, yeah?
July 2, 2008 at 1:22 pm
papa diouf has said that it will be in 2 days or maybe more! what the hell is going on here, they’ve got their man, why can’t we have ours!
July 2, 2008 at 1:45 pm

July 2, 2008 at 1:49 pm
no.14 has already been given to Walcott
July 2, 2008 at 1:51 pm
Gooner Chris
I would just like to say you have my full support and I appreciate you can only post what you’ve been told and leave all of us to form our own conclusions, I, unlike some people, understand that stuff like this isn’t meant to be taken as total fact, merely as what is being reported as fact. You do your job better than any other blogger I know, well done and keep it up.
Cescy I would like to say that you are a compelte twat who deserves to be banned off this forum and I am disgusted to support the same club as you you vile piece of human garbage.
July 2, 2008 at 1:59 pm
alwaysArsenal
its sickening to suppert Arsenal with you how arrogant you are
but the passion of the team keeps me in so just be soft or keep out of this scession.

nasri personal website has been going offline alot today. I wonder whats going onnn????
July 2, 2008 at 2:32 pm
Josh.C! The website is okay for me. The admin promised an interview with Samir on 1st of July, but I have a feel, it will be published when the Arsenal announce Samir.
July 2, 2008 at 2:51 pm
Yeah, mine has been on and off all day! god knows why, maybe i have a crap server! lol
i agree, it will be on arsenal.com first. Until then we can only speculate on half rumours
July 2, 2008 at 2:57 pm

July 2, 2008 at 3:06 pm

July 2, 2008 at 3:24 pm
AlwaysArsenal — Was this not bullshit? He said he was expected to sign today, but he hasn’t? I feel for you and the idiots that believe this farce. You’ll learn someday kid, don’t worry.
July 2, 2008 at 3:28 pm
It is only 4:30, so you can’t rule anything out.
July 2, 2008 at 3:32 pm
hey chris, did u just take off the barca story?
July 2, 2008 at 3:34 pm
Yep I did, like you said, If people have already seen the news, there’s no point in posting it.
July 2, 2008 at 3:41 pm
yea…lol
July 2, 2008 at 3:42 pm
OFF TOPIC, BUT…
hey chris, i am setting up a blog on a local business we have out here, which would help us expand it. Would it be possible for you to give me a few pointers on setting up the blog?
July 2, 2008 at 3:44 pm

July 2, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Sure, do you have MSN? as it would be easier to talk through that

July 2, 2008 at 4:28 pm
I’m sure Cescy is the same guy that was winding up J Sanderson the other day. Like Chris says, “If you don’t like the site – disappear”
July 2, 2008 at 4:33 pm
These guys spend so much time writing criticism that they ought to start their own blogs. Could be good reading for gooner accountants or manic depressives.
July 2, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Agreed.
Maybe that should be the blogs motto?
“If You Don’t Like It, Don’t Read It”
July 2, 2008 at 5:01 pm
lol gooner chris can we pelase just ban cescy? hes rather annoying me
July 2, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Ah of course, there’s the solution.
You don’t want accountability. If you post a shit article, expect to be called up on it. If you post a misleading headline, expect to be called up on it — perhaps not by the kids who toss themselves silly over all the transfer rumours, but by fans who can actually look at the situation rationally.
I feel I have only crossed the line in my first comment here, but the rest of my arguments have been backed up with good reasoning and explained pretty well.
July 2, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Wow. These comments are intense.
dave, http://www.TheHistoryBluff.com
July 2, 2008 at 5:58 pm
Gooner Chris is only as good as the information that he gets from his sources. Any information regarding Nasri should be taken with a grain of salt. Until Arsenal.com posts something about him signing, but believe it.
July 2, 2008 at 6:32 pm
Gooner Chris,
How about this…until Nasri actually signs, just don’t put anymore speculative articles about him up on your site. Saves you the trouble of defending yourself and your work.
July 2, 2008 at 6:37 pm
you guy are stupid my uncle knows nasris agent and he told him that the deal was in dead water and that arseal wont give nasri the money he is asking so bye bye nasri hopefully some injury prone reserve player can win the title for use
July 2, 2008 at 6:42 pm
haha you guy attually thingk he is going to sigh he is coming to the pool. viva torres
July 2, 2008 at 6:53 pm
Bloody hell – First the lead of our roofs and now are blogs – bloody scousers are trying to pinch everything !
July 2, 2008 at 6:57 pm
I’m not worried, Nasri’s coming and I’m looking forward to seeing Ramsey and Nasri in the pre season matches – looks like we are getting a nice run of games.
July 2, 2008 at 7:01 pm
Samir Nasri To Be Formally Announced The Day After Tomorrow!
July 2, 2008 at 7:13 pm
your problems are you take all the articles word for word. these articles are jsut whats been printed in news papers, they are RUMOURS. you are supposed to make your own judgements based on the facts presented within the articles. so stop being a bunch of retards and appreciate this site for what it is. it is a site to round up all the various rumorus about arsenal and it gets them ebfore anyone else. everything is presented with as much facts as possible. so all of you stfu and don’t bother coming back if you don’t like it.
July 2, 2008 at 7:26 pm
a reliable source told me that nasri is going to be announced tommorw for sure.
July 2, 2008 at 7:46 pm
http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2008/07/02/Premier-League-Diouf-on-Nasri/
Marseille chairman Pape Diouf has stated that Samir Nasri’s tortuous move to Arsenal is still in the pipeline, but a ‘few days’ are needed to finalise the transfer.
July 2, 2008 at 7:48 pm
I think both Nasri and Bischoff will be announced on Friday.
July 2, 2008 at 8:00 pm
it is crap
July 2, 2008 at 8:00 pm
arsenal is shit
July 2, 2008 at 8:20 pm
An announcement would be made in two days” he said to the French press today and then corrected it by saying that it will be “in a few days”!
July 2, 2008 at 8:31 pm
Yep, I think a lot of people are fed up of this story now so I won’t post anything on Nasri until he officially signs.
July 2, 2008 at 8:33 pm
david, your literacy skills are truly outstanding – congratulations for working your way up to the level of uber peasant
July 2, 2008 at 9:36 pm
gonner chris when do u think nasri going signed ??
July 3, 2008 at 8:17 am
youngguns is BULLSHIT!
July 3, 2008 at 11:05 am
what do they say? tomrrow never comes…..
July 3, 2008 at 11:43 am
I know this sounds stupid, but i promise you he will sign tomorrow.
i know you will not believe me, and you don’t have to agree, but tomorrow at 5pm you will seeeeeee.
July 3, 2008 at 12:38 pm
remmember that tommorow is 5th and the guy was expected to
sign on 1st this is going out of hand
July 3, 2008 at 2:08 pm
tomorrows the 4th
July 3, 2008 at 2:21 pm
You’re right, it does sound stupid. People should just stop saying anything about this guy until he’s wearing an Arsenal shirt.
July 3, 2008 at 5:24 pm
how on earth can it take over 6 weeks to sign a player.
I hope after all this time he will be worth the wait.
i think we should have gone for Ben Arfa he is left fgooted and would have been a better option on that side, which is bound to be where he plays if he ever fucking signs
It’s pathetic and embarassing and bordering on inept the fact that 6 weeks on from Nasri will sign early next week we are still in negotiations
July 3, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Dayo get A LIFE ! Gooner Chris is just doing the best he can, it isn’t as if he’s writing like one of those Sportingo Writers who just write rubbish, this will probably happen on 7th June
July 6, 2008 at 10:13 pm
whats up mate? when when when!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! will this signing happen?
