Alexander Hleb and Frank Lampard have reportedly shunned new contract offers from their respective clubs and sign for Spanish giants Barcelona and Italian champs Inter.
Belorussian international Hleb been chased by European giants Barcelona for several months now, the player himself even admitting he’d be interested in a move to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Hleb, talking to Russian news station Tut said:
“I believe that in world football has 10 top clubs, and when a couple of clubs interested in you and offer better terms, I believe that at my other place would have been exactly the same. But Arsenal roads for me, I am grateful to Wenger for what he did for me.”
When questioned about his Arsenal future, Hleb revealed he’s currently in talks with two clubs:
“I’m in negotiations with 2 clubs. In the near future, everything must be decided. I approve of Barcelona’s interest.”
Hleb can play on both sides of the pitch, generally in an attacking role, and has become an increasingly important fixture in the Arsenal side since his arrival from Stuttgart.
Barca boss Pep Guadiola is likely to play Hleb in Barcelona’s renowned three-pronged attacking model. Gooner Talk will keep you updated with the any news concerning the midfield star during the coming weeks.

Lampard Joins Milan
According to the prestigious France Football magazine, Italian giants Inter Milan have signed Frank Lampard from Chelsea.
It is reported that the transfer fee was in the region of 9 million euros with the England joining the reigning Italian champions for 7.3 million euros a season on a four year contract.
It is clear that the appointment of Jose Mourinho as the new coach of Inter Milan played a considerable role in this.

Lampard’s a mug, Hleb’s a pleb.
June 27, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Hleb, would not be a big loss to the Arsenal ! Where as Lampard will be for the Chavs.
June 27, 2008 at 9:06 pm
More Hleb Stuff To Come..
June 27, 2008 at 9:09 pm
Oh no! Not Lampard. Chelsea would be lucky to get a fiver for him. He’s one of the most overrated players on the face of the earth!
June 27, 2008 at 9:10 pm

June 27, 2008 at 9:19 pm
I’m personally delighted that Hleb’s going.
June 27, 2008 at 9:20 pm
deleted posts!? seems
your linked to le grove in more ways than 1!
June 27, 2008 at 9:22 pm
I do hope Hleb goes (for around 12m), I believe that the options of either Nasri or Walcott offer more on the right hand side than he does. As long as this isn’t the signal for Eboue to be the regular right sided midfielder!
June 27, 2008 at 9:26 pm
guyz have you heard about thurams heart problems, sad aint it ….
June 27, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Lampard, hleb & ronaldo & possibly adebayor….
If the storys are true then who really cares as all these players are replaceable BAR ronaldo who will be a massive loss for utd.
Hopfully we’ll bring in silva to replace hleb but would that not then be one of the smallest midfields in europe?
silva denilson fabregas nasri ??
June 27, 2008 at 9:37 pm
DOLLA mate, I deleted your comments because I already posted the links in the post. I hope you understand mate.
June 27, 2008 at 9:46 pm
Hleb has been great for us but without flamini and that infamour trio, will he really be that good next year? Im not convinced! I wouldnt be sad to see him go, David Silva would be a good replacement and would work very well with Fabregas and Nasri.
Also wouldnt be bothered to see Ade leave either, with RVP hopefully going to have a fit season and maybe bring in Guiza who would link up amazing with Fab n Nasri (as been proven against Russia) or failing that Benzema would be a great addition to the squad.
Would you agree with that?
June 27, 2008 at 9:46 pm
its kool gooner chris.
June 27, 2008 at 9:46 pm
it looks like nasri will be a fitting replacement but i would prefer if we could increase our squad rather than replace greedy players. As for fat frank unfortunately Chelsea wont miss him with Ballack and Essien waiting in the wings. They really are the ruination of the premiership, dirty shandy drinking gobshites.
June 27, 2008 at 9:51 pm
Wonder who if anyone will be bought to replace Hleb and Adebayor if they both go.
My guess is the comments regarding us still looking at a number of options are true but Diogo and Gomez are among the candidates.
Silva and that south American we were linked with recently are also on a list.
June 27, 2008 at 9:55 pm
anyone heard Ade’s big headed comments today
June 27, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Thurams heart problems are real sad but its a good thing the docs detected it before somthing bad happend.
June 27, 2008 at 9:57 pm
yes mate, check this article I did on him earlier today.
June 27, 2008 at 9:58 pm
“a lot of clubs are afeter me”………….. then he went on to repeat it but this time saying his own name ” a lot of clubs want me Adebayor” think its getting to his head
June 27, 2008 at 10:00 pm
does not seem like the humble player i thought he was
June 27, 2008 at 10:04 pm
this whole situation at Arsenal is only going to get worse, Wenger will always make players good at Arsenal, and the Spanish and Italians will always be trying to take them away. We need to start winning trophies and become the best team in Europe or this will happen every summer, players are treating us like a small club. Big up to Fabregas, the only guy with his feet firmly on the ground
June 27, 2008 at 10:13 pm
this hleb guy is a wanker, he finds his best form at your club and then wants to leave you lot to go to barca as soon as they show a half hearted interest, class A knob. Anyway, he never scored anywhere near enough goals and didnt really assist much either so i guess you lot wont care much. However, with your players leaving it could spark a chain reaction e.g. Adebayor looks to be leaving also and he would be a bigger loss than many of you think (i say this because i know many arsenal fans do not rate him).
oh yeah, before i go i just want to let you know how happy i am that Aaron Spear chose us over you lot. It doesn’t happen often and he is a top top talent, my kid knows him and he says he is fantastic.
June 27, 2008 at 10:17 pm
We’ll euro giants dont sell there best players so i guess there right in a way… were a decent club with good players wich i think needs to change to a big club with good players as i cant even see fabregas wanting to stay if everyone around him is walking out..
Who could blame him?
June 27, 2008 at 10:17 pm
Ade benefited from our attacking play and grew in confidence, confidence makes him half the player he is, will he be able to maintain that confidence in a different team, not sure
June 27, 2008 at 10:19 pm
Fazza will stay for another season, he has such a long career ahead of him he knows he has plenty of time to head back to his homeland. When you are as good as him, you know you can get better and better
June 27, 2008 at 10:22 pm
I am sure Wenger knows he will lose him in a couple of years and maybe players like Denilson, Merida and Ramsey are his hopes as a replacement
June 27, 2008 at 10:34 pm
Gunner Jillu – The problem is that it works both ways. You say that we need to start winning trophies and become the best team in Europe but Man Utd did that last year and Ronaldo still wants to leave, to join a club that has under achieved for years. It doesn’t mean a thing, in the end; they just tout themselves around to whoever flatters them and offers the most. It seems that’s the way the football world is these days.
June 27, 2008 at 10:47 pm
United arnt stupid, they are going to make some serious money out of Ronaldo, they are firmly in the driving seat, the longer they play hard ball the more money they will get. Real will be paying far too much money for him. But he scored 40 goals last season and can dribble , head and shoot, pretty much a complete player, no Zidane mind you. Players like Hleb and Ade, there is only a certain amount of money clubs will be willing to pay. These players treat us like small clubs because they are only as good as Wenger has made them. Everyone knew Ronldo was going to be a great player same as Fazza, the sky is the limit for players like them, they will play well anywhere. Ade and Hleb owe it to Arsenal to stay loyal
June 27, 2008 at 10:51 pm
Ronaldo also has more then a right to leave, he has won everything he can at United
June 27, 2008 at 10:58 pm
If I was in Ronaldo’s boots, I would move, I just dont think its good in modern day football how much pblicity surrounds one player, it completley overshadowed Portugal. The media completely hound them wanting an answer. Ronaldo should have said I am a United player, it would not be proper for me to talk about another club, and then lie to the media and say you are staying untill he spoke to Furguson
June 27, 2008 at 11:18 pm
Tut is actually a Belorussian company!
June 27, 2008 at 11:37 pm
Ronaldo – He can go, but he is making a catastrophic mistake in terms of his career developement. At united he is the MAIN MAN but at Real he will just be another one of their numerous superstars. Look at Robben for instance. Haven’t heard of him since he left until he threatened to tear up the Euro’s with RVP.
Hleb – well what can i say that hasn’t alreay been quoted, personally I wouldn’t want him to leave but what he has said has taken it past the point of no return. £15 million please Mr. Guardiola, pleasure doing business with ya! Eboue’s shit, Walcott deserves his chance and so will Nasri (when he finally gets here) it’s strange that for a 1 hour flight it’s taken sooooo long for him to step foot in England!
Adebayor – I, along with the rest of us and even maybe the man himself, couldn’t say either way what he wants. Is it the money? Is it the sun? Is it the arselicking from Barca and Milan he’s after only to turn it down? Whatever he wants, good luck to him, he said when he first joined us he wanted to be “the new KANNNNUUUUUU” but if he goes, he’ll just be another player who thought we were the stepping stone to a (only by way of payment) “bigger club.” He always played with a smile, and that’s what was good about him, and Ronaldo. He’s a big lad, still developing really, but gave us another dimension. Having said all that, I would like him to go, I don’t like the way that he gave us that way out of our beautiful football by lumpping it long for him to chest it down and volley it in! (You like that 1 SP*RS?) I don’t want a player here that there is doubts about his commitment, and neither should wenger or the rest of our squad. We should get a decent striker in, (VVVIIIILLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAA!!!!!) I don’t want a crouch, or Guiza, Villa is proven, and still has plenty of years left in the tank. Bendtner wont cut it, Both Eduardo and RVP are left-footers and i dont believe will work together when Eddie gets back. I don’t rate Benzema either. I’d like to see Villa sign or a player in that mould.
My predictions – Ronaldo to stay (United wont let him go)
Hleb’s going, I give it a week.
Ade, bit tougher but he will go.
Denilson to start in midfield alongside Fabbie next season.
June 27, 2008 at 11:39 pm
“Top ten clubs in the world”. Are Arsenal not in the top ten clubs in the world? Just get rid of this shitbag. He’s good at holding the ball and creating space but wherever he ends up the fans and club will be on his back cause HE’S AFRAID TO SHOOT.
June 27, 2008 at 11:40 pm
I Really had it with Ade Though , I want Him Gone , like Gunner Jillu mentioned Ade benefited from our attacking play and grew in confidence, confidence makes him half the player he is, Arsenal made u what u are Now and now he is speaking like he’s The Legend Denis Bergkamp, i’d say Let me Hit the Road with out making any fuss about it , PERIOD , Ciao Ade ….and Good luck , and remember the grass ain’t always greener…
June 27, 2008 at 11:46 pm
Spot on. Ade would struggle in a defensive team like Milan. If we got 30mill for him I’d say bye bye. And enough if he leaves we won’t sign Villa. We need height. Possibly Gomez or whoever. As long as we have Fabregas we’ll be super. He was so good against Russia. Brilliant.
June 27, 2008 at 11:47 pm
Gunner Number1, Yeah mate i Heard a rumour about Crouch , i Just Hope its not True though , i have to be honest i don’t want crouch at arsenal, we need someone sharp Quick and always has an eye on the goal…
As For Helb Okay well hmmm i thought he wanted Inter lol now he is saying he wants Barca make up ur mind mate anyway thanks helb and good luck if u leave.
June 28, 2008 at 1:01 am
The thing i cant understand is if he thinks he’ll lose fabs in a couple yrs then why would he not try to stop that from happning like he did when we 1st got pat & there were rumours linking him with moves to every big club?
Instead he built a very strong team around vieira & won things that made him not want to go anywhere for a long time wich he should be doing now with fabs so he wont want to leave untill he’s atleast 26 but with with the team we have now you wouldnt blame him wanting a move as early as 09/10 season wich would be just unthinkable..
With some of he’s team mates around him going for bigger wage packets its putting a bad message across to the rest of the squad as it looks like wenger does not have the power to hold on to he’s players..
I mean imagine paul scholes, neville or beckham trying to ask fergie for a move when they was younger? knowing they could get more money elswere, they wouldnt even think about it not because they were shit scared of him but because of the respect they had for him .
June 28, 2008 at 1:06 am
Wenger has a long record from he’s monaco days of not being able to hold on to he’s top players..
He just dont have that kind of authority & i think you need that when you have big ego’s in your squad.

50 mil for ade hahaha…sorry hahaha come on ade
June 28, 2008 at 7:59 am
heres a thought, cesc is quickly becomeing the new star pupil at Arsenal, school of pure football,he has publicly said he would love his best friend in the same class, and his best friend says he would love to be there too,for he too is very talented, and has heard many good things about this school. Now as professor you could see this senario being good for the boy and make him even more content, and become even better than he already is,wouldn`t you try to do out all that you can to try and get this arrangement fixed?
Isn`t it a bit funny how the top spanish clubs are not making offers for him except our own, when he has been the best striker on display at the euro`s???why is that i wonder
And we all know Wenger likes to do things on the quite.
June 28, 2008 at 10:44 am
If Hleb leaves or even Ade leaves we’ve got no problems at all im sure adequate replacements will be brought in. With the sale of Ade we might even get a better striker in return as if someone along the lines of Villa or even that Guiza guy joins we will be better off. Also theres no worry over not having a striker able to hold the ball up and whos good in the air as we have Bendtner.
June 28, 2008 at 11:51 am
what gets me is, I watch every Arsenal match, and I dont rate Ade as high as Milan do, Ade lost his form at the end of the season, part of the reason we lost the league. His finishing is nowhere near as good as some of the top strikers in the world. Why has everyone gone coo coo for him, we lost Henry for less than is being quoted and he is 10 times better then Ade.
