We asked you to vote for your favourite memories/highlights of last season several days ago. Now the votes have been counted and we can tell you who has managed to get their hands on one of the following trophies…
1. Player of the Year
2. Goal of the Season
3. Moment of the Season
4. Most Improved Player
5. Young Player of the Year
6. Club Man of the Year
And here are the winners *drum roll*…
Gooner Talk’s Player of the Year…
Spaniard Cesc Fabregas won this seasons Player of the Year award with a 60% majority vote. Bacary Sagna was the 21-year-old’s closest challenger, but in the end there was only one winner.
1. Cesc Fabregas – 60%
2. Bacary Sagna – 20%
Goal of the Season…
Top goal scorer for the Gunners last season, Emmanuel has progressed magnificently scoring 24 goals along the way, Cesc Fabregas’ wonder-strike against AC Milan was the only other player to challenge Ade for this award, I think you’ll agree, Ade’s a worthy winner.
1. Emmanuel Adebayor v Tottenham – Away – 70%
2. Cesc Fabregas v AC Milan – Away – 20%
3. Emmanuel Adebayor v Newcastle – Away – 20%
Moment of the Season…
Arsenal’s enthralling performance at the San Siro in February has earned them the Moment of the Season award. Theo Walcott’s ‘run’ was the second most popular according to the voters.
1. 2-0 win at the San Siro – 70%
2. Theo Walcott’s run and Adebayor’s goal at Anfield – 30%
Most Improved Player…
Theo Walcott just edges our Most Improved Player award over Emmanuel Adebayor thanks to some impressive games last season, the most memorable at Anfield.
1. Theo Walcott – 55%
2. Emmanuel Adebayor – 45%
Young Player of the Year…
Once again, young Theo Walcott wins a consecutive award, this time for the title of Young Player of the Year. Slavia Prague, AC Milan and Liverpool were probably Theo’s most notable performances. Cesc Fabregas and Nicklas Bendtner finish close behind.
1. Theo Walcott – 70%
2. Cesc Fabregas & Nicklas Bendtner – 30%
Club Man of the Year…
Brazilian ‘volante’ Gilberto won Gooner Talk’s Club Man of the Year award with an ease. After losing out on his midfield spot to Mathieu Flamini, Gilberto came back towards the end of the season and showed why he is still one of the sought after defensive midfielders in the world.
1. Gilberto Silva – 80%
2. Jens Lehmann & William Gallas – 20%
Many thanks to all who voted in the awards.

Would probly put Flamini’s goal vs Newcastle in… Eduardo’s vs West Ham and Man City would also be among the top ones this season.

Theo should not have won that award. He was nowhere near Adebayor, Flamini and Almunia in terms of improvement. Yes, he got better, but the boy is still the weak link at Arsenal.

Thanks for doing this. Brings me back to the good times of an ultimately dissapointing season.
Cheers.
