The above photo is from Arsenal’s new summer catalogue and yes, it shows the whole of Arsenal’s new 08/09 kit.
We asked for your thoughts yesterday on this, but now we have the full set including the away kit, we’d like to know what you make of it and does it bring back memories for you of the 88/89 kit?
June 5, 2008 at 4:50 pm
I love it. Champions next year! In Arsene We Trust!
June 5, 2008 at 4:54 pm
Looks great !
June 5, 2008 at 4:55 pm
It is abysmal. Where are the wholly white sleeves? Why change it if it is almost unrecognisable from last season? Quite frankly it doesn’t matter what shirt we play in, it is how we play, surely? Red shirts, white collar, white sleeves, that’ll do me. To change it for change’s sake seems to be an utter waste of time and energy…Energy that should be used getting our interminable patient, Tomas Rosicky fit and well.
June 5, 2008 at 4:56 pm
Full kit looks great!
June 5, 2008 at 4:57 pm

the away kit is in my opinion a mess.but its my opinion not exactly the right one.its a matter of taste
June 5, 2008 at 5:02 pm
I don’t mind really, a red and white home kit and a yellowish away kit, seems traditional to me.

June 5, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Red body, white collar, white sleeves… DON”T DEVIATE. Jesus, Nike it’s not that hard!
June 5, 2008 at 6:04 pm
It might show the white better when it is worn, but from the photograph the red looks a more faded shade then traditional Arsenal Red. Square on it looks very Liverpool. The only good thing is it will be gone in two years!
June 5, 2008 at 6:05 pm
I wish our away kits are those 3rd kits this year (barca type) or the ones that were all blue. The current one is soo crap.. ugly mustard!!
June 5, 2008 at 6:16 pm
maybe we will win champins league with those ugly mustard and we will loveit .
June 5, 2008 at 6:25 pm
I love the new home kit but away kit looks terrible
June 5, 2008 at 6:28 pm
It’s poor. The white sleeves should never, ever, be ditched. Since the 50’s the white sleeves have been synonymous with ‘The Arsenal’ [apart from the Cranberry season and the time under Billy Wright] and to lose them, even for a season, is awful.
June 5, 2008 at 6:31 pm
anyway its the faul of those from nike ,the adidas design is much better from many years, but i love the kits anyway .i liket the moust those kits from the unbeatble season.
June 5, 2008 at 6:43 pm
WE DONT NEED NO ONE AND IF ADEBAYOR GO SOMEWHERE WE ARE CHAMPIONS THIS YEAR JUST GIVE CHANCE TO MERIDA ;GIBS ; VELA ;WALLCOT ;BENDTNER THEY WILL ROCK THIS SEASON GOONER 4 A LIFE
June 5, 2008 at 7:32 pm
I cant help it everytime I see the new yellow kit all I can think of is “Thomaaaassss its up for grabs nowwww” classic il be havin that thank you very much!
June 5, 2008 at 7:35 pm
No, the last years kit was the best in the history. This is the copy of the old kit for some years ago.
June 5, 2008 at 8:18 pm
Arsenal’s crummy GK kit policy.
For those that don’t know, Arsenal wear many different GK kits over the course of the season, sometimes as many as four. Last season, for example, Alumunia wore kits that were black, navy, light grey and yellow.
Unfortunately, it’s Arsenal club policy to only release ONE of these at retail. Last season they picked the navy one. This year it’s a rather dull black number.
If you’re an Arsenal fan, or just a fan of good football kits in general, then I’d be very grateful if you could have a read and sign my petition.
Hopefully in a few weeks we’ll have eoungh names to present to Arsenal, and they’ll release ALL the goalkeeper kits, allowing fans and neturals alike to have a choice as to which one(s) to buy.
Here’s the link in full: http://www.petitiononline.com/asnlgk1/petition.html
Many thanks in advance!
June 5, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Told my a few of my Gooner mates, cheers Ryan.
June 5, 2008 at 11:22 pm
Looks good. Some people need to chill out on the importance the colour co-ordination of the kit. We will play very well.
June 5, 2008 at 11:26 pm
Especially that scottish fella on number 3.

whole strip looks top… cant wait to get mine with LEGEND 14 on the back
June 6, 2008 at 6:29 am
I quite like both, and the away kit does remind me of 88/89 which can only be a good thing. I reckon I’ll get the away kit for indoor.
To those complaining about the lack of all-white sleeves, I dunno, it’s not an issue for me. The whole point of the white sleeves in the first place was to distinguish us from all the other clubs that have all-red strips, which is a tradition I think this kit continues to uphold.
June 6, 2008 at 8:22 am
Just like the 2007/2008 season kit…
June 6, 2008 at 10:14 am
I like the current kit better… way way better
June 6, 2008 at 11:04 am

June 6, 2008 at 11:39 am
I bought our 1930 kit yesterday. WHen we won the cup for the 1st time. Its sick!
June 6, 2008 at 12:34 pm
the 03-05 home kit (the one before redcurrant hughbury kit) had red red underarms too so chillax! It’ll look great on. What colour are the away shorts?
June 6, 2008 at 1:28 pm
Thats a championship winning strip!!…trust me. There is something about the kit that just gives me the optimism that we will win the premiership next season.
June 6, 2008 at 1:48 pm
Yeh, it’s not bad at all. Reminds me a little bit of the 01/02 kit which was the best kit we ever had. I really liked the kit we’ve just had as well, much better than the rubbish we had in the last few years at Highbury.
June 6, 2008 at 1:51 pm

not impressed…..i think the adidas shirts ie liverpool, chelsea look loads better than the nike ones. will still buy it though lol
June 6, 2008 at 2:50 pm
the addidas shirts look crap, the brands too dominant with the stripes down the arms, prefer a small swoosh and the rest all arsenal.
June 6, 2008 at 4:49 pm
the away shirt looks bad ass!!!!!! home kit is not to bad, but i think i like last years better.
June 6, 2008 at 8:34 pm
cool best ever
June 7, 2008 at 1:56 pm
I very sure with the quality at hand my dear gunners will deliver come next season both domestic and internatonal level

June 19, 2008 at 6:34 pm
