German international Jens Lehmann will hang up his Arsenal boots on July 1st, and we’ve found a video of the Legend himself which was filmed just a fortnight before he announced his departure; an advertisement for Euro 2008 which includes Gilberto and Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner:
Quality video! Good luck to Jens in the European Championships of course, and whatever club he decides to join for next season.
News Round-Up
In other news, Arsenal have been linked with a possible move for Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure in a deal which could see Alex Hleb move the other way.
Gunners’ Under 18’s coach Steve Bould says that the academy are “ready” to produce talent for the first team.
Finally, Bruce Springsteen put on a performance at the Emirates Stadium last night, apparently it was a thoroughly enjoyable night and a great night out for all. Click here to see a taster of last nights gig.

Hahaha that video’s quality. Yaya Toure, got told he was a bit overrated?

Possibly, but he’d settle in well and be a straight replacement for Flamini.

He is more Vieira than Flamini in the way he plays
May 31, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Of course, but he’s a defensive midfielder, hence the reason I said he’s a replacement for Flamini.

Yeah. Forgot to say in my first comment, good article as always.

I dont know whether its just me but i really think I’ll miss Jens more than any other player who has left, Viera left n i thought no probs we can survive, Henry left and i was too angry to miss him at the time, but i really will miss Jens. As for flamini, you are not in my heart until you have played at least 3 seasons in 1st team. 3 is a magic number.

haha jens is too funny but his time has come good luck but perhaps we are better off without the rants hey wondering if you had the choice would you feature yaya or m.veloso in dm role both so differ but fro what i have seen they both could stack up so well in our 1st team
tony how bouts dudu think u can bend the magic 3 some let him squeeze in.i say he is the Bomb and has been sorely missed

Would rather Veloso, Yaya is more like a defensive wall but Veloso is more like Flamini, not as much of a runner but better passer, we would lose Yaya to ACN every 2 years also

Hmmm, interesting opinions. Veloso would be a decent addition, I can’t see us getting him though.
