Norwich City physio Neal Reynolds is leaving Carrow Road to join Arséne Wenger at Premier League giants Arsenal.
Reynolds is set to end his seven-year affair with Norwich City to become assistant to current England physio Gary Lewin.
At 34-years-old Reynolds has witnessed something of a cull in the treatment room at City’s training HQ with his own assistant, Peter Shaw, and Academy physio Rod Dyer axed less than a fortnight ago.
“Neal is an excellent physio and we would have liked to have retained his services,” said Roeder. “However, this is a good opportunity for him and we wish him all the best.”
Doncaster added:
“Neal’s ability and reputation in the game has earned him this excellent opportunity at Arsenal and we would not want to stand in his way. Every one at the club would like to thank Neal for his hard work for the Canaries.”
The latter sentiments will be most warmly seconded by City defender Adam Drury, who has Reynolds to thank for avoiding suffering a serious problem after a calf injury October.
Reynolds might even by in line for an ultra-swift promotion with the Football Association hoping to persuade Lewin to become their first full-time physio.
Lewin has held the role on a part-time basis since 1996 – working at three World Cup finals – but new England boss Fabio Capello wants him on a permanent contract.

May 28, 2008 at 1:30 pm
But when?
May 28, 2008 at 1:33 pm
Later today or tomorrow.
May 28, 2008 at 1:36 pm
Okay. Just it was enough for me from the gossips, I want to read that “Nasri joins the club” headline at arsenal.com.
And what do you think, will Ben Arfa joins to club? I was suprised when I heard that Ben Arfa will be missed out the Euro2008.

any news on the sundowns game
May 28, 2008 at 1:37 pm
Ben Arfa’s likely to go to Marseille, Aulas wants him to stay in Ligue 1.
As for the proposed Sundowns game. I don’t think that’s going to happen considering we’ve got the Emirates Cup and Amsterdam Tournament.

Okay… But I hope that Wenger will introduce Nasri….
May 28, 2008 at 1:46 pm
I’m sure he will, whether it’s today or tomorrow. Remember when we signed Sagna, Arsenal.com announced it around 5:00 – 6:00 pm GMT
May 28, 2008 at 1:48 pm
Yes, sure. We will see it.:-)
May 28, 2008 at 1:59 pm

May 28, 2008 at 2:02 pm
Potentially mate, I’d like to see Lewin stay at the club though.
May 28, 2008 at 2:14 pm
Or maybe the Nasri-agreement will be announced on Sunday when the transfer zone is active.

Flamini has been left out of the French euro squad – oh well
So too has Ben Arfa – frees him up to pop over with Nasri and sign for the Arsenal so …….
May 28, 2008 at 4:06 pm
If Nasri doesnt sign in the next few days, I just dont see us getting him. Think about it, if he isnt signed between the warm up games before the euro’s, he is hardly gonna be let go from the french squad during the euros to fly to london.
Then if he has a brilliant euro campaign then everybody will be after him and we get priced out of him…(same happend with frank ribery with us)!! I think Nasri is a bargin at 11m, when you compare it to ryan babel went for 14m and spuds got modric for 20mill ha ha

We have got more than one week before the EC.
May 28, 2008 at 4:38 pm
maybe he can tape up any players mouths who feel they aint being paid enough… How about you win something for the fans lads then come back and ask for more money… what happened to those days when people played for the pride of wearing the shirt and not the size of their wage packet
