Well, it looks like Hleb is leaving Arsenal for sure, according to Hleb’s w***er of an agent. Yes Hleb, go on, get lost, we don’t need you! We’re getting a much better replacement, in Marseille prodidgy Samir Nasri.
Edu Back To Arsenal?
In other news, former Arsenal and current Valencia midfielder Edu might be lured back to Arsenal, according to reports. According to the Sunday Mirror, Arsene Wenger might bring back the 30 year old, who’s struggling at Valencia. Arsenal is likely to face some strong competition from fellow English clubs like Portsmouth, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton, Middlesbrough and Manchester City.

Another link with Spain, this time it’s Spanish international striker Daniel Guiza. The 27 year old striker had finished as the top scorer in the La Liga last season, and has caught the eye of many major clubs in Europe. Arsenal are likely to face stiff competition for the striker, who has Barcelona and Roma hungry for him. But according to Spanish Newspaper Marca, Arsenal leads the charge towards securing a deal with the Mallorca and ex-Getafe forward, who will cost around 15 million euros.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
May 26, 2008 at 7:52 pm
I hope none of that is true. Apart from the Nasri deal obviously!!
I would like Wenger to buy one more wide player after Nasri as we were short last year anyway and Pleb is going. But i can’t see it happening. I think Vela will be doing a Walcott and getting time on the wings (regardless of what the proffessor says) and Walcott has improved quite a bit. So providing Rosicky is all fixed.
Nasri/Walcott/Rosicky/Vela are good options.
Add to that Eduardo when he comes back around christmas and Eboue (hope he is sold but lets not forget he was one of the best right backs a couple of seasons ago and is a handy squad player, just not a 30 game starter!)
Central midfield could do with an addition and a big tall centerback (ideally with a left foot to help cover Clichy along with Hoyte, if retained) and we are set.
We can’t surely have another unlucky season where we miss top quality starters such as Tomas and Robin for half the season. Surely??
May 26, 2008 at 8:12 pm
i would luv 2 see edu @ the club AGAIN HE WAS TERRIFIC THEN AND I THINK THAT ARSENAL NEED SUM1 LIKE HIM
May 26, 2008 at 8:17 pm
Edu wellcome, Technically good
May 26, 2008 at 8:18 pm
So do I mate, Edu is getting on a bit. Nasri transfer likely to be confirmed tomorrow.
May 26, 2008 at 8:21 pm
I think that Edu is too old(according to my and Arsenal’s club politics).
My oppenion is that he is a good player but we(Arsenal) dont need his services. I think that Flex-Vela and T.Wallcott will do a great job during the coming season.
In conclusion I can only say: Edu thank u for all that u did when u were in our great club-Arsenal but now u it isnt the write time to come back to us. At the moment we need strenght, power, technique and young talant. U r too old for us!!! We need to be the next champion of England. We cant do this with many Injured players!!!
May 26, 2008 at 8:28 pm
Bring in Kompany at centreback!!! We need someone to help keep us from giving up early leads in games.
May 26, 2008 at 8:37 pm
fuck edu… in the arse.
gilberto is better than him.
WE NEED A STRIKER AND A DEFENDER.
May 26, 2008 at 8:39 pm
KOMPANY WOULD BE GOOD…
as would albiol or zapata.
in terms of striker… Gomez (Studdgart) would be good or this guy Guiza
May 26, 2008 at 8:41 pm
get the geezer gomez
May 26, 2008 at 8:43 pm
edu is old and injury prone…and wenger doesn’t take back his rejects!
someone in the premiership will take him, other clubs are always picking through arsenal’s garbage.
May 26, 2008 at 9:39 pm
edu was a class act, show some respect!
he knows the club, he is experienced and never let the arse down…….as far as im concerned, welcome back…we need warriors like you!
As for nasri, let’s wait and see but i have a good feeling about this guys potential.
May 26, 2008 at 10:11 pm
None of it is true. Guiza is looking to head to Barcelona anyway.
May 26, 2008 at 10:11 pm
Jacobs, you are an idiot…and only 50% right. We need a center back really (in the Vidic mould) even if they are not starters straighaway but certainly not a striker!!
Van Persie, Adebayor, Bendtner, Walcott, Vela and Eduardo (around christmas is more than enough).
I know that Vela and Walcott won’t play upfront all the time and they will spend alot of time on the wings but their services are also required up front. Not to mention Barazite who, although young, is a fine player with excellent technique.
May 26, 2008 at 11:06 pm
KOMPANY YES PLS. After that, i believe SONG and DJOUROU both play FLAMINI’s position originally. So its down to versatility and flexibility. If that works than its like fitting LEGO. Then for the xtra toppings we have NASRI and DIEGO. After that its 24 hr party people.
May 26, 2008 at 11:08 pm
Nasri better be worth the wait. He was supposed to sign last wednesday and now its apparently tommorow or thursday. Contradicting stories on each site regarding when he will sign. Hopefully it is tomorow so i can get my France shirt with Nasri on the back.
Edu: No
Guiza: No
Mertesecker/Zapata: Yes
May 26, 2008 at 11:27 pm
i want edu, due 2 experience, pls wenge i want hleb, also nasri, dont u 4get ben arfa
May 26, 2008 at 11:53 pm

May 27, 2008 at 12:05 am
nasri , michael johnson , raul albiol — and why doesn’t ayone ever mention the young argentine ever banega as a flamini replacement — might he also be part of the valencia exodus? also any chance of marcos senna leaving villareal?
May 27, 2008 at 12:17 am
bullshit
bullshit
bullshit
bullshit
seriously?
bulshit
all of it
bulshit
….apart from the nasri deal….
and will everyone please stop talkin shit about hleb. He’s been a wonderful player for us. Statistically maybe he’s been poor in terms of goals and assists but he’s an integral part of the way we play.
Who’d want to see him leave? Seriously?
May 27, 2008 at 12:20 am
and JESUS CHRIST RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL OF YOU!!!!!! we’re still in may. What do you expect to happen? that the whole brazil sign for us in the 2 hours? We were 1 match away from the league and 1 shit ref away from the champions league. Shutup all of u
May 27, 2008 at 1:57 am
yes edu would be good but he 30 if u going to bring any one back who is 30 it should be TH14
May 27, 2008 at 6:40 am
What a fucking load of bollocks.
May 27, 2008 at 6:45 am
Gooner-32
the reason Nasri aint signed yet is because the transfer window in france didnt officially open till midnight on Sunday which all these sites forgot to tell us.
Its a done deal.
May 27, 2008 at 8:14 am
hey people who put their coment on Udu and gilbeto what only to do is bring Udu back and let gilbeto go he old .
thanks
May 27, 2008 at 9:28 am
whatever!! arsenal can buy whoever and whatever they please but they are a long way from any silverware! infact they should consider forming a coalition with chelsea so that they have a better chance of winning the champions league! its embarassing to reach the finals an d watch the trophy go the other way,all in all they were first timers maybe in another 20 years they might be luckier!!
May 27, 2008 at 1:47 pm

May 27, 2008 at 2:11 pm
This is just a dead-beat rumour. There is no hope that Arsenal would sign David Guiza. I would bet anything on that. He will not be coming to North London anytime soon.
Likewise, I would highly doubt the return of Edu. Remember he chose to leave Arsenal, and I doubt Wenger would re-sign a player he let go.
May 27, 2008 at 2:45 pm
a
May 27, 2008 at 3:11 pm
I agree with the majority.
Guiza and Edu seem both highly unlikely and pointless purchases given the options we already have in their position. Nasri should be a great addition, and I hope to see that one sorted out soon.
A holding midfielder and strong centre back are where the focus should be.
May 27, 2008 at 3:53 pm
Its a classic case of players leaving Arsenal. “Edu struggling”, “Henry struggling”, “Petit struggling”….. what’s to come? “Flamini struggling”??
Edu is 30 and Arsene do not ‘re-buy’ players. You have the chance with Arsenal and its only once in a lifetime as a player.
May 27, 2008 at 4:45 pm
What would you say the chances are of De La Red coming to Arsenal Chris? He ticks all the right boxes doesn’t he? Young, fast, strong and how he’d make Fabregas happy by being spanish.
May 27, 2008 at 4:47 pm
I like De la Red. He’s a fighter, a warrior can also play centre back as well which is another bonus. I’d like to see him at Arsenal, maybe some cash + him for Hleb?
May 27, 2008 at 5:07 pm
Just Read on Goal.com Transfer section that Madrid have resigned Javi Garcia a defensive midfielder they sold to Osasuna. With him and Diarra and Gago there now surely De La Red will be sold on now. And with Keita at Barca now does that free up Yaya to leave the club. Who would be better for us? Or who should we sign? Both i’m assuming wouldn’t cost that much.
May 28, 2008 at 2:28 am
f*** I don’t wanna lose hleb.
keep him
godddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd.
please please please please please please please please
May 28, 2008 at 7:59 am
zambian gooner
i think song is good enough 2 replace flamini and lets not forget that denilson and djorou would be gud back ups as they understand the arsenal way of play. With nasri and vela joining the future looks bright, lets keep the faith and sucess will follow.
May 28, 2008 at 6:31 pm
Whether we like it or not Hleb is a gonner. So the best we can do is stay up with our new signings and try to hold onto Prince Cesc. Whichever strikers we have Cesc makes them look good. Look at Adebayor even Milan and Barca are trying to sneak onto him.
With Vela coming in and Ade, Walcott and Van Persie-even though i doubt his ability to stay healthy the first half the year is ours again. We just need a couple or three of defensive minded and higher work rate palyers probably one from africa and one from england. we already have Song and Diaby and new commer wouldnt be bad with the four competions at stake .
May 28, 2008 at 6:35 pm
Not necessarily mate.
May 30, 2008 at 6:55 am
i thinknthat arsenal needs 2 defender,2 midfield and 4striker may be its will be good for us the gunneres forever like mother and child

I find your blog very nice. It’s fully integrated that describes a website that is progressive enough to include good online media and presence.
Great site!
